As an Advanced Placement Human Geography Reader for 10 years years and teacher of the course for 10 years , I have a unique insight on how to best prepare the students to better answer the prompts given. My classroom students routinely perform in the top 25% percentile of all exam takers from year to year on their free response questions and average between 20-30% higher than national average pass rates with 9th grade students. I have adapted different techniques to teach writing to be more effective, clear, and provide more depth to student responses.
