This is a 12-week semester course. Class meets once every week.
Students will learn to use the principles of anatomy to approach each stage of drawing an animal, from the initial structure to the parts of the body and shading of the finished work. Students will be introduced to forms, gestures, skeletal and muscle structures. They will understand how these concepts can be applied, adapted and manipulated to capture a realistic rendering of the animal body. They will learn how quadruped bodies are different from avian and reptile bodies in subsequent weeks. Once they build a solid foundation and keep practicing, they will be able to sketch a multitude of animals with confidence. Classes are highly interactive and students will have the opportunity to socialize and share their ideas in a fun and upbeat environment.

1:1 Private class option: The curriculum below provides a structured framework. It can be adapted to suit the needs and interests of the students for individualized portfolio development.
