Animal Crossing Club: ¡Jugando, socializando y divirtiéndose!

⚠️ Needed to participate: Nintendo Online Membership, Stable Internet Connection, a Nintendo Switch, the game Animal Crossing New Horizons (ACNH). 

During this class, students will be able to visit my 5-star island and the islands of other students to play games, socialize, share tips, tricks, and ideas, and trade items while having fun. We will take turns going to each others islands throughout the weeks and sometimes playing games on my island. We may play games like a treasure hunt, a scavenger hunt, hide-and-go seek and more! We also may do themed events depending on holidays and seasonal events happening in the game.

⚠️ Holidays and seasonal events automatically happen in the game, if you don't celebrate them, please reach out to me and we can discuss it. Thanks!

My goal for this class is to give the students a space where they can socialize, make friends, have fun, and share their love for everything Animal Crossing while playing and learning how to play ACNH. Feel free to bring your favorite ACNH items or drawings to share with the class. We'd love to see it and share our enthusiasm for everything ACNH!

Before class starts, the students should make sure they have everything that they need to participate in the class (i.e. Nintendo Online membership, the game, etc.) and make sure that they know how to go to each other's islands using the airport and a dodo code. You may contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I'd be happy to help!

During class, we will talk about Animal Crossing. We may talk about different Animal Crossing topics like how to progress in the game, earn bells, get and make DIYs, our dreamies, etc. When we visit each other's islands, each student will be able to do an island tour, if they want to. Let's remember to be respectful on everyone's island. No picking flowers, shaking trees, taking items, or running around unless the student (who's sharing their island) says it's okay. Try not to talk over other students as well. We will only have time to go to one island per class as it takes quite a while for all the students to travel.

If we have a full class of 5+ students, we may decide to split into 2 groups using the Zoom Breakout Rooms and visit 2 islands at the same time. Students can ask to go to a certain student's island, but we'll try to keep the groups as even as possible.

The students may be muted during class if there is a lot of background noise or if the students are talking when other students or I am talking. So, please make sure that everyone knows how to mute and unmute themselves on Zoom. Thanks!

Students are welcome to share photos and comments in the online classroom throughout the weeks to talk about what's new on their islands, their interests, and what they are excited for in the game. The students are also welcome to share their friendship codes with each other and with me, if they want to.
