🐾 Welcome to Animal Alphabet Adventures - Letter Sounds for Beginner Readers! our child will embark on an exciting journey with animal friends and interactive activities, fostering a solid foundation in letter sounds, phonemic awareness, letter recognition, phonics, and writing. Led by Miss Gia, a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with a BA in Early Childhood Education, lessons offer a unique blend of fun and research-based instruction of all 26 letters to learn the alphabet. STUDENTS WILL... 🌟 Gain Letter Sound Proficiency: Each week we will introduce 2 new letters, learning their names, sounds, and visual recognition. 📝 After-Lesson Practice Sheets: Fun worksheet activities and posters that help solidify what your child learns after their letter lesson! 🎓 Earn a Certificate of Completion: Celebrate your child's learning achievement with a certificate marking the completion of our alphabet adventure. WHAT TO EXPECT FOR YOUR CHILD 🦄 Structured Learning, Playfully Presented: Our structured approach to teaching phonics is seamlessly integrated into fun and interactive activities, making learning feel like play. 👐 Hands-On Exploration: Dive into activities that spark curiosity and active participation. 📚 Increased Phonics and Literacy Skills: By the end of our adventure, your child will practice recognizing and writing all 26 letters. OUR TEACHING APPROACH • Research-Informed Instruction: Lesson slides are based on the latest in the science of reading, with explicit instruction of each letter sound and formation. • Interactive Learning: Children will meet animal characters and participate in engaging activities that bring each letter to life. • Playful Activities: Learning is made fun with games, coloring, and hands-on activities. We use letter identification games, sorting activities, and more to advance learning. • Writing Practice: Students will learn how to write each letter, developing fine motor skills and emergent writing/letter formation skills. • Review and Reinforce: Regular review each class ensure each letter is thoroughly reinforced for lasting retention.
