As the journey of anger management continues with a new chapter, Where Does Anger Go #4. The three activities in this class; (After Anger Passes: The body, After Anger Passes: The emotions and thoughts, After Anger Passes: The effects on others), will bring student’s closer to their goal of understanding what is happening in their brain. In this class, Where Does Anger Go #4, students will practice more strategies of what happens when anger passes. When the peak of anger slows or when the adrenaline reached its peak students will notice the affects anger has on the body, emotions and thoughts they feel, and the effect anger has on others in or outside the home. I encourage learners to take notes on what is important for them to practice. Students will apply prior knowledge and skills to explore more about anger and share experiences of anger with others. I continue to ask questions during each activity, promote engagement, and provide information new information on behavior management. Students are given examples of how to practice the strategies to reduce anger urges by recognizing body sensations and talking about what they are feeling before the rage happens. The goal of anger management is to decrease their response to anger. In this class, I will continue with the routine of a structure of an engaging presentation as students take notes during guided instruction, as provide information about anger management and how to resolve it. Students can use the chat box and reactions to express themselves. It is important for students to take notes when prompted then practice the activities from the class. Video clips help students to self-reflect their behaviors and practice strategies in each class. No prior experience is required, many students in this age group are already working through anger therefore, looking at anger from a different view is helpful for behavioral management.
