In this 8-week flexible schedule course, students will discover what "anatomy" means and learn about the major sections and parts of the human body. We will use age-appropriate visuals and interactive movements (ex: where on your body do you think your heart is?) to learn about the major body parts. I use engaging visuals and welcome all interaction and questions via the classroom discussion board! The curious mind is the most pliable. Curriculum: Week 1: The Integumentary System Week 2: The Skeletal System & The Muscular System Week 3: The Nervous System & The Endocrine System Week 4: The Circulatory System Week 5: The Respiratory System Week 6: The Digestive System & The Urinary System Week 7: The Reproductive System Week 8: The Lymphatic System & The Immune System Each week, students will be expected to: 1) Watch the lesson video 2) Complete a review quiz/game (Quizlet) 3) Record a short video project 4) Participate in the discussion board The video projects will give students the opportunity to show their level of understanding by teaching what they know about each topic. After all, the best way to test your own knowledge on a subject is to teach it yourself! More detailed instructions on the weekly assignments will be provided at the beginning of each week. Though no previous knowledge of anatomy is required, this course may be taken after my One-Time course “Let’s Learn About You: Introduction to Anatomy”, if students are not ready to commit to an 8-week course.
