This will be an interactive class. We will meet once a week to discuss the chapters assigned. The students will interact with the teacher and other students in the class. The first half of the class we will focus on retelling and discussing the characters, the second half we will make text to self connections and make predictions as to what will happen next.  Students will be assigned chapters to read prior to class so that we can discuss the characters and retell making connections to ourselves. I will have specific questions that I ask them to help the student think deeper into what they read. The students will need to read prior to class. The first class we will discuss chapters 1-8, the second class we will discuss chapters 9-15 and the third class we will discuss chapters 16-23. Students can take notes while reading and bring a doll to class.
