1 hora por semana. Each week will include age appropriate student options for completing work for teacher and parent review via choice board. The choice board will offer options such as artistic, literary, auditory, visual or kinetic activities as opportunities for learners to demonstrate their understanding of the topics. Simple models will also be assigned for use for the Axolotls in Medicine lesson. Learner submissions and questions will be answered within 24-48 hours, and follow up questions may direct students to further learning exploration.Evaluación
Complete feedback will be provided for work completed, including an informal written report at the end of the class. Learner questions will be answered after each video on the class board here on Outschool.Experiencia de clase

Alex the puppet will teach students about axolotls in nature, as pets, and their use in the medical field. Alex uses discussion prompt questions, socratic teaching, as well as engaging slide shows and sometimes video clips to demonstrate the information she is sharing. Each class will include many visual elements to engage learners. Students will have an opportunity to meet not only Alex and her friends, but also a real live axolotl pet and ask questions about their care. Beginners are welcome and no prior knowledge of axolotls are necessary, but some complex biological topics will be discussed at an age appropriate level. (See "Learning goals" below for a complete list of topics to be covered) After each lesson, students will be required to submit 3 questions to the instructor to be answered on the class board, along with their project for the week (see "Homework" section below for details on how choice boards will be used in the class).
