Use code SLESSCOOKFLEX505 for $5 off! **This is part 3: letters Q - Z! You do not need to have taken part 1 or 2 to take this class, but if you'd like to start at the beginning of the alphabet, check my profile for part 1, letters a-h or part 2, i-p. Welcome to Alphabet Chef, self-paced edition! In this interactive, alphabet-themed cooking class, young learners will have fun making a delicious breakfast, snack, lunch, or dessert! This is a flexible class, to give you the ability to fit it into your busy schedule, pause as needed, and replay videos as many times as you'd like. If you are taking the Self-Paced version of this course and leave pictures or videos of your work, I will send a personal video reply! Each letter introduction, song/chant, and recipe will be provided via prerecorded video. That way, learners and their families can log on when it best suits them to participate. I will also provide alternate ideas and "twists" on recipes, so you can try them in different ways through the week. This class encourages letter-sound knowledge and practice while also providing movement and music based practice, while also introducing the basics of kitchen safety and cooking. Family participation is welcome, as cooking together is a wonderful way to bond with your children! Ingredient lists and recipe cards will be provided for each video and recipe. Fancy kitchen equipment and experience are not necessary. Recipes will be kid-friendly without too many complicated ingredients, but young learners will still need some assistance. Recipes will also be able to be altered to meet dietary restrictions as needed. This course includes 10 instructional videos. In each video, I will introduce the letter of the alphabet we are focusing on. Learners will participate in a fun activity, game, or song about the focus letter and will practice "sky writing" the capital and lowercase of the letter in the air (feel free to have them really write them, too!). Then, we will prep, create, and taste our treats! The time required to prepare the recipes may vary slightly, depending on ingredients and your learner's ability level. This is a great way to encourage your child to try different foods and flavors they may not otherwise be interested in! I invite all learners to share pictures of themselves preparing the treats and their finished products. I also invite them to share items they found that begin with the focus letter, or a glimpse of them practicing the song/activity. I will provide personalized feedback throughout the week to each and every learner via video and chat/discussion in the classroom. Helping in the kitchen develops so many different skills for young children, such as: -Direction following -Kitchen and cooking skills and safety -Ingredient knowledge -Fine motor skills -Measuring -Science concepts *Sibling discount available - please message me!* Check out my Storybook Cooks class for more literacy and cooking fun!

Orientación para padres
Recipes will be fairly simple and kid-friendly, but some parental guidance may still be necessary, and more for younger students. Parents should always provide supervision and guidance when an appliance or some kitchen utensils are used. *Please note that some of the recipes in this course do use an oven, and therefore will require parental guidance and assistance.*
It is also recommended that a clean, reachable workstation be set up for your learner, whether at a table or counter space.
Please also be aware of your child’s allergens and check over ingredient lists for these. All recipes are able to be modified to fit your family’s dietary needs.
Lista de útiles escolares
Ingredient list and recipe cards will be sent with each post. Ingredients and tools will be common items you may already have. I suggest an apron or covering, or wearing clothes that are okay to get a bit messy!
