Uno a uno de Ally

This course is intended to be available on an as-needed basis for:

- Assessing a learner's English proficiency. This type of class would test a student's basic conversational skills, vocabulary level and reading ability to help determine which level of the Pearson Big English curriculum they best fit. It would also give the student a chance to meet me and determine if they feel I would be a good teacher for them. A typical assessment lesson starts with basic greetings and simple conversation, then moves on to testing the student's English skills. Special focus will be spent on vocabulary, reading ability, reading comprehension, verbal comprehension and constructing answers. A student's learning preferences and any potential areas of special focus will also be observed during this time. Once I feel I have a solid understanding of a student's skill and needs, any remaining time will be dedicated to a sample lesson on their level.

- Private tutoring as requested in any topics around the English language, such as vocabulary development or reading efficiency. These classes are intended for existing students who would like additional instruction about the content from another class. I am happy to work with a learner and their adult(s) to design a lesson or lesson series to address their areas of concern.

- Specialized courses designed to fill a specific request. These would be created as needed, and may cover any of the following topics: English, reading, writing, arithmetic, algebra, or science.
