FAQs ABOUT THIS SELF-PACED CLASS:

CAN LESSONS BE COMPLETED IN ANY ORDER?

YES! There are 5 different bingo games, each prefaced with fun facts about the axolotl, such as what their unique characteristics are, what their habitat looks like or what their conservation status is. After completing the 5 games of bingo, your learner will have a set of bingo cards that your family can use over and over again.

HOW MANY WEEKS IS THIS CLASS?

It depends on you! The lessons can be completed in a week if you play one game a day. Maybe your learner will play the games back to back! Or you may decide to space out the games even more. Your choice. You have access to the class for 365 days!  As mentioned in the next FAQ, however, teacher access is for the first week only, from the day you start.

HOW LONG DOES MY LEARNER HAVE ACCESS TO ME, THE TEACHER, FOR COURSE HELP?

Your learner has access to me, the teacher, for the first week, starting from the date you start. For example, if your learner has questions about the bingo game or would like to share what they know about the axolotl. I will reply promptly usually the day of or by the next day.

*** Each game is a unique game with a unique prize, in other words, the games do not repeat. VERY IMPORTANT - a new card needs to be printed for each game/lesson so that it will match the instructor’s card while watching the video.

Each of the 5 lessons will follow this format:

#1 Facts about the axolotl
#2 Game of bingo, which includes encouraging learners to read along with me as I read the calling cards. There will be a challenge (a 10 second pause) for the learners to find the space on their bingo card before I do. 
#3 Celebration of the bingo winner, which is, of course, the learner!

**A FUN NOTE… I first learned about the axolotl through an Outschool student several years ago.  He really wanted me to show him how to draw one. I actually had to look up the creature, thinking it might be mythical as I had never heard about it. Since then, I have learned so much about this little amphibian and have created another class as well, a course on how to draw 16 different animals, that includes, of course, the axolotl.
