Welcome to "All about Ancient Rome"! This course is designed for curious minds aged 12-18 who are eager to delve into the rich history of Ancient Rome. It offers a comprehensive journey through the evolution of Roman society, politics, culture, and religion, from its early days as a republic to its transformation into an empire, and the subsequent split between the East and West of the empire. It offers multiple perspectives into the lives and culture of Ancient Rome.
This course will look at six main areas of Ancient Rome:
I. Early Civilization and the Republic
II. Roman societal life in the Republic
III. The Transition from Republic to Empire and Julius Caesar
IV. Pax Romana and Political unrest
V. Early Christianity to Early Catholicism
VI. Did Rome fall? The division of the East and West.

Students will have an interactive notebook (powerpoint) to work through each week. If your student needs access to a google slide version, I will gladly provide one!
