An introduction to the continent of Africa! We will learn all about the diverse people’s, landscapes, animals and history of Africa!

The lesson will include:
- Some African history e.g. Ancient Egypt, European arrival, African Kingdoms, Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade
- A Traditional African story
- Learning about the animals of Africa
- Learning about all the different people and tribes of Africa
- Learning about African cities
- Traditional African Music
There will be a lot of discussion, especially focused on students comparing what they knew and thought about Africa before the beginning of the class, compared to afterwards.

All students will have to opportunity to offer their opinions on the topic, this is how we foster amazing Critical Thinkers, able to handle anything the world throws at them!

My teaching style is fun and engaging but with substance, I believe young ones can deal with ideas previously seen as 'complex', if they are exposed in the correct way. My classes are about discussion, so we will be discussing everyone's perspectives and using power point slides!

No previous knowledge required! Especially great class for kids who ask a lot on questions, beginning to focus their Critical Thinking Skills in an academic fashion.

I teach myths, legends, and philosophy with a mix of imagination, depth, and real academic grounding—helping young learners explore big ideas in creative and meaningful ways.

With a Master's in Psychology and a Bachelor's in Philosophy and History, I’ve always been drawn to the power of stories and the questions that shape how we see the world.

For almost 5 years, I’ve been teaching on Outschool, creating classes that are both intellectually rich, full of heart and very fun!

In my myth and legend classes, we dive into dragons, tricksters, magical beings, and ancient heroes from every corner of the world. Whilst covering Geography, Culture and reading comprehension. It’s lively, adventurous, and often surprising—kids love finding connections between old tales and the world they live in today.

In my philosophy classes, we slow down and think deeply together. I introduce university-level ideas in ways that are clear, open-ended, and exciting. My students constantly amaze me with their insight, curiosity, and confidence.

I draw from Montessori and Steiner (Waldorf) methods in my teaching—centring each learner’s natural interests, creativity, and emotional awareness. Learning, to me, is about more than facts—it's about growing into your own mind and voice.

If you're looking for a teacher who brings warmth, depth, and a little magic to the classroom, I’d love to welcome you or your learner into one of my classes.
