Clase

Qué está incluido

4 reuniones en vivo
2 horas de clase por semana
Tarea
1 hora por semana. Any homework assigned will be verbal and not mandatory. For example, if we are studying the letter T, at the end of class I may ask the students to look around their homes for something beginning with the letter T or to find something that has the letter T on it. This isn’t really homework, but rather a way for the student to continue learning even after class is over. Worksheets that are related to the day's lesson will also be posted at the end of class for students to complete when they have free time.
Evaluación
I won’t do a formal assessment but I will keep a personal log of each students progress. If you would like to know or want me to know what your learner is struggling with or excelling at, I’d be happy to let you know privately. I also offer 1:1 classes for learners who might need a little more help in a specific area or more of a challenge in addition to class. Always feel free to message me about setting up a private session for your learner!

🎈How is the class structured?🎈

this class will run the same as an in person program Monday- Thursday. The class will typically be between 25-30 mins. All handouts that are needed will be provided by me before that lesson is to begin.

Each week starts a new theme and lesson, so to ensure that your learner gets the most out of the week be sure to join on or before Monday! That way you get all four days of instruction and feel on pace with the rest of the class :-)

Keeping my classes small ensures that each student gets the needed individual attention and guidance to help them succeed.

⭐️Basic Weekly Breakdown⭐️

🫧Monday-Letter, number or sight word introduced + Writing and recognition practice.

🫧Tuesday-Learning our weeks theme through play-dough

🫧Wednesday-Art day that relates to the theme of the week

🫧Thursday-Show and tell, letter or number hunt and lesson summary

No class on Fridays so that my leaners are not overwhelmed and can rest and recharge for the next week of instruction!

🌸Each class will begin with introductions, greeting one another by name to help students feel more connected and included.

🌸Question of the day! which is a fun open-ended or multiple choice question to get students thinking and talking.

🌸Circle time will include Month of the year, Day of the week and Weather.

🌸Introducing the letter, number or sight word of the week.

🎶🕺🏾Music & Movement: Most movement activities can be done seated or standing in place, no equipment or special area is required.

  👩🏾‍🏫How will I teach?🖍️✏️

I’ve been in education for over 10 years and I’ve learned that students learn best when they don’t know they’re learning. So I use a variety of games, songs, art projects and activities to help the lesson stick with them even after class.

I’m fluent in American Sign Language so I do incorporate that into my teaching as well!

I love using things from everyday real life to teach so that my students are familiar with things they encounter outside of the classroom, and can connect them with what we learn. I encourage positive guidance, and self acceptance and know that each and every student is different and learns differently.

Sometimes my lesson plans change because I like to take advantage of teachable moments and let my students guide the lesson in a way that interests them the most.

I was very fortunate to grow up with an amazing school experience from preschool all the way up to high school, and I think it was because all of my teachers enjoyed what they did so they gave it their all every day. They put so much time and energy into making sure we loved learning just as much as they loved teaching and that’s what I like to do for my students!

I can’t wait to meet all of you new friends and start our adventure in learning together!
