¡Aventura hacia la lectura!

In this ongoing class, learners will be able to practice their developing reading skills at their own pace. They will be provided with the tools and ability to ask questions in regards to reading. I have put together a reading program for early learners.  This class is highly engaging and fun! My hope is that your child will fall in love with reading. 

Learners who register for this class, should be familiar with all their letters and letter sounds. This is a wonderful class for learners who have started to string letters together to make words. This is also a great class for learners who have started to read "simple" sentences and books (for example: The Bob Books). 

Students are encouraged to read for 20 minutes (leveled readers) a day aside from this class. Caregivers are also encouraged to read to their children every day as it will help widen their vocabulary and more!

Week of 4/27/25: OR and ER
Week of 5/4/25: IR and UR
Week of 5/11/25: EAR ad WOR
Week of 5/18/25: The Secret Sounds of A and I
Week of 5/25/25: The Secret Souds of O and U
Week of 6/1/25: The Secret Sounds of Y and G
Week of 6/8/25: The Secret Sounds of C and Sight Words (once, again, many, two, done, would)

Journey Two (Our last Reading Journey) Schedule Coming Soon! 

Each meeting time will be filled with a word search, many fun games, reading stories and even illustrating our own books! The goal is by then end of Journey two, learners will be at a fourth grade reading level. Please remember each child is different and develop at a different rate. Some children, reading may come very easy, while others, need a little more work. This is why I am here!
