This is a small class to ensure understanding and interaction is possible for everyone.  We will be reviewing stacked addition and subtraction in word problems and learning multiplication and division.
This is a great class for an advanced second or third grader needing practice and review. I will help them gain overall confidence in their math skills. We play games to have fun and practice our "fast math"in between lessons. 
Because of my background in Montessori hands-on learning, I encourage my students to draw or write the math equations along with the teacher. I use dice, coins and sometimes bananas to "see" the math. 


December 21: 12's in multiplication, fractions- adding and multiplying them. 
December 28:  Measurement and word problems. 
              Pre-algebra and word problems, reviewing multiplication. 
 
Feb 1st: memorizing 6's in multiplication are awesome! Learn the tricks,  practice easy multiplying by 10, 100 and 1000! 
Feb 8th: memorizing 7's, word problems, grocery shopping math
Feb 15th: memorizing 8's, division, borrowing with zeros, fast math
Feb 22nd:  memorizing 9's in multiplication are awesome! reviewing stacked multiplication and  time in word problems. Division review.
March 1st: Fast math practice. Dividing and intro to long division, multiplication. practicing stacked multiplication in word problems.

The classes to follow will review the above and if your child needs specific guidance in an area of their math learning, I will do my best to help them.
