Welcome to the Advanced Deep Thinkers -

In this intellectually stimulating and thought-provoking online course, we invite young philosophers who possess an exceptional grasp of concepts or have prior experience in studying philosophy.

As an educator, my primary goal is to foster a deep understanding and appreciation for philosophical inquiry and critical thinking

Unlike traditional classrooms, my approach will be entirely centered on fostering my students growth as philosophical thinkers. There are no right or wrong answers here; instead, we will encourage open and respectful discussions, allowing diverse perspectives to flourish.

Our shared pursuit is to develop your abilities as genuine philosophers, capable of engaging with complex ideas, critically examining arguments, and articulating your thoughts with clarity and precision.

Together, we will analyze seminal philosophical texts, unraveling the wisdom of the great minds that came before us. Through thoughtful analysis and dialogue, we will extract the essence of these works and connect them to contemporary challenges and real-world contexts.

Expect an intellectually stimulating and collaborative environment, where your insights and interpretations are valued and encouraged. We will create a holistic and balanced approach to studying philosophy, combining historical context with modern relevance, allowing you to see the timeless relevance of philosophical inquiry.

By the end of this course, you will have honed your critical thinking skills, strengthened your ability to present persuasive arguments, and gained a deeper understanding of the fundamental questions that have puzzled humanity throughout the ages.

So, if you are excited to embark on a transformative journey of philosophical exploration, join us in the Advanced Philosophy Class. Let us unravel the mysteries of the human mind, challenge our assumptions, and embrace the beauty of philosophical discourse together.

This course is designed for advanced young thinkers who have already been exposed to philosophical ideas and concepts and are looking to deepen their understanding of complex philosophical topics.

The course will explore a range of philosophical topics, from ethics and political philosophy to the philosophy of mind and metaphysics.

Through readings and class discussions students will be challenged to think critically and creatively about philosophical concepts and theories. The course will emphasise the development of independent thought and the ability to engage in sophisticated philosophical analysis and debate.

Learners will be interacting with the teach and other students often as this is a discussion based class.

Orientación para padres
Philosophy deals with the world, and as such it must deal with worldly issues. Violence, would not be dealt with directly but perhaps would be suggested in questions such as 'Is it right to harm a few to save the many'. When considering Political Philosophy, current politics will not be a topic, however we may spend time thinking about how leaders should lead, or what is fair? Or look at theoretical Political Philosophers such as Lao Tzu, while staying away from any politics of the day. All material will be presented via Googleslides and screen shared by the teacher. Use of Youtube, Games, and Kahoots will also be screen shared by the teacher. Learners will not click links, access outsides websites, or need to login to any accounts.

- I have a BA in History and Philosophy. After realizing that young students could comprehend and deal with the same theories I was learning at a University Level I began tutoring students from ages 7-18 in Philosophy, and realized the huge impact it could have not only academically, but how it could change their lives.

- Tutoring 16-18 year olds for their Philosophy A-Levels in the UK.

- The one complaint I had from my University Philosophy experience was the lack of diversity in the types of Philosophers we studied (they tended towards European Males). Philosophy is a part of every culture around the world, and each has their own way of solving these questions, so we will look at a variety of perspectives with class. I have been a Mental Health Mentor working with a diverse range of students, during this time I made sure to expand my knowledge of other cultures, and I am also a POC myself, so ensure the studying of other cultures is done accurately and respectfully.

- I spent 6 years as a Nanny to a variety of different age children, some were home schooled and I would be responsible for their lessons. I enjoyed teaching Philosophy immensely as children are natural Philosophers. References of teaching experience are available if requested!
