1 hora por semana. Approximately 1 hour per week outside of class After the first session each week, I’ll post 2-3 pages of homework aligned to reinforce weekly lessons. I'll also provide a video reviewing all the answers shared in our classroom so you can check your work after completing it. We can review any difficulties if necessary at our next class meeting.Evaluación
At the end of each module, an assessment will be given to check mastery of the skills taught during the module. I will use those scores to guide further instruction and review as needed during the final week of the module. Are you ready to jump into an exciting year of 3rd grade math learning? This class is for you! We will work together to develop a strong understanding of third grade math standards, so important to success in mastery of future math concepts. It is my mission to meet students where they are and help them master skills while gaining confidence and taking risks.
This full-year course is divided into modules. Each module will focus on a specific set of standards for third grade. I have structured the modules so that each will focus on particular standards and can be taken independently of each other. At the end of each module, an assessment will be given and any review of concepts will be completed as needed. Throughout the year, we will work together to help you achieve mastery of the third grade math standards.

***What Our Lessons Will Look Like
Each 5-8 week module will explore a new set of 3rd-grade standards. Each class session will include the following:
* Warm-up/Welcome
* Mini-Lesson to introduce concepts/standards for lesson
* Guided Practice of skills / Hands-on where applicable
* Independent Practice
* Fun. Interactive game to practice skills
* Wrap-up/ Additional Practice as needed
We will end our class with a short social time to interact and build relationships. Each week I will post additional practice for students to complete that allow for practicing the skills learned that week, (if desired) along with answers so they can check their work.
The five modules of the year include:
Module 1: Add and Subtract within 1,000
Module 2: Intro to Multiplication and Division
Module 3: Geometry and Measurement
Module 4: Fractions
Module 5: Multiplication/Division of Larger Numbers/ Area and Perimeter

Students should have a mastery of 2nd Grade skills, including basic addition and subtraction facts.
Lista de útiles escolares
A composition notebook would be helpful so students can record their work and take notes throughout this class. Pencil/paper OR whiteboard/marker/eraser would be beneficial for solving problems, but is not required. Depending on the lesson each week, some manipulatives might be advised. These will be posted in advance of class time to give time to gather them. These will be simple items you have around the house and could include things like small paper squares, Lego pieces, small counters or erasers, coins, or even cereal pieces or goldfish crackers. If you don't have anything that works, I will always demonstrate with the document camera so learners can observe virtually.
