Matemáticas del ACT desmitificadas: del álgebra a las funciones avanzadas

In this 8-week ACT Math Prep course, students will build the skills and confidence they need to succeed on the math section of the ACT. We will cover all major content areas tested on the ACT, including algebra, functions, geometry, trigonometry, and data analysis. Each session will focus on a specific set of topics with guided instruction, timed practice, and strategy coaching.

Each class is structured to maximize student engagement and retention. We begin with a brief warm-up to review prior material, followed by direct instruction using slides and examples modeled after actual ACT questions. Students will then work through timed practice problems in real time, allowing them to apply strategies immediately and build pacing confidence. We end each session with a guided review and time for questions and clarification.

I use a supportive, encouraging teaching style that breaks down complex math concepts into clear, manageable steps. I emphasize critical thinking, test-smart strategies (like process of elimination and estimation), and time-saving techniques. My goal is not only to teach the content but also to equip students with the mindset and tools to manage test-day stress and improve their scores.

Students will have opportunities to ask questions, share their reasoning, and discuss alternative approaches throughout class. I offer personalized feedback and will adjust instruction based on student needs. Optional homework/practice problems will be provided after each class for those who want extra reinforcement.
