If you are looking to start or continue learning the guitar, I offer Acoustic and Electric Guitar Lessons for all levels and ages. Students will learn the essential elements of guitar playing and music theory, all while learning pieces that fit their musical preferences! 

This class is designed to help students improve their Guitar techniques, whether they are beginners, intermediate, improvers, or advanced Guitar players. Students will learn the fundamentals of right and left-hand techniques for Guitar, developing good body architecture with a solid technique for great playing.

We'll learn different techniques, mechanics, and exercises to help you build a solid basic foundation of Guitar techniques. This class will support the development of the right and left hand, fingerpicking, chords, and other specific methods. All guitar players will complete individual projects executing different music skills during this course. Important topics will be introduced or reinforced as rhythmic strumming, tuning, and fingerstyle playing. 

This class is ongoing; therefore, you can start at any time and cancel classes at any time. Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information to request and schedule your private lessons.

Metas de aprendizaje

The main goal of this class is to become a more effective player and learn better to express yourself in the Acoustic & Electric Guitar course, searching for good fluency, dynamics, tone, and control for your guitar playing.

During this class, we will work on a basic posture that allows the student to work on the Acoustic and Electric Guitar using a few finger patterns, scales, chords, finger coordination, and etudes (depending on the level of the player). It is essential for this class the use a variety of practice techniques to refine your fingerstyle playing and strumming Acoustic and electric Guitar techniques.

Some of the learning goals are:

- Scales and Arpeggios for Guitar
- Guitar warm-up exercises
- Left And Right Hand Exercises
- Fingerpicking Scales
- Fret Hand Exercises
- Guitar Chord Charts
- Guitar Coordination Exercises for Left Hand 
- Strumming Guitar (various patterns) and Changing Chords

Mr. Axel Vallejos is a graduate of Rice University, where he completed his Master’s degree in cello performance. He received his Bachelor of Music at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, a Professional Performance Certificate, and a Master of Music degree from Lynn University.

Mr. Axel has performed with numerous chamber ensembles and orchestras throughout North, Central, South America, Europe, and East Asia. He has participated in prestigious summer festivals, including Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival, SHMF (Germany) for four consecutive years, Orchestra of the Americas (YOA), International Music Academy of Solsona, AIMS Festival (Spain), Zeist Music Days (Netherlands), and The Aronson Cello Festival (United States). Additionally, he was part of the Ensemble Bartok invited to participate in China’s “Meet in Beijing Festival," including performances in Beijing, Seoul, London, and Málaga.

As a teaching artist, Mr. Axel has been involved in multiple projects such as Nat King Cole Generation Hope, Inc. (Florida), YOA Global Leaders (Honduras and Ecuador), Vivace International School of Music, Coda Music Program (Texas), Harmony Program (New York), and Harmony Program's Summer Camp at The Juilliard School as a Teaching Artist.

Mr. Axel performs frequently with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and has appeared with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Sarasota Orchestra, Chicago Philharmonic, Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, and others.
