Welcome to accounting tutoring!

Accountancy doesn’t need to be scary - and together we will overcome every challenge that your leaner faces. I am happy to meet on a one-off basis, in preparation for an exam, or to tackle a specific issue, or as an ongoing regularly scheduled class. 

This class is perfect for parents who would like to outsource accountancy instruction, or do not necessarily feel comfortable teaching the material. I will meet your learner where they are academically and guide them through the material at a pace that is comfortable to them. 

⭐HOMESCHOOL CREDIT⭐
If you have interested in taking this class for homeschool/high school credit please let me know and I can provide supplies and work with your student on a weekly basis. This course has the potential to qualify for either a half-credit or a full credit.

⭐APPROACH⭐
My approach to teaching accounting is keeping the material fun and interactive. I don’t like to lecture - instead preferring to engage the students and make them invested in the material. 

⭐SUPPLIES⭐
I have digital copies of accounting textbooks, so I am prepared to start at any topic and guide your learner the rest of the way! I also have my own resources, so I am also happy to guide the content and tailor to your learner's needs.

⭐EXPERIENCE⭐ 
I have taught maths for over a decade, and am a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. I also have two decades of experience in the homeschool / home educated community. 

⭐ACCOUNTING⭐
This course is appropriate for age ranges 11 to 18. Accounting is a very broad topic, so I can tailor the accounting content to your learner's needs and interests, from fundamentals to intermediate and advanced. We will also cover personal finance, particularly with a focus on the aspiring self-employed business owner! Topics we can cover include:

- Understanding a profit & loss statement
- Understanding a balance sheet
- Understanding a cash flow statement
- Financial ratios
