Reading is one of the most valuable life skills to learn in today’s postmodern digital economy. Whether you are preparing for university or getting ahead as a savvy young learner, reading for understanding and purposeful writing are tools you need to succeed. There are a myriad of different learner types and styles. This has a significant impact on the learner experience in the classroom and what curriculum is best suited to maximize each learning moment. This course is a learner-centered program that is designed around the student’s needs. Curriculum could be based on literature or life skills topics depending on your goals. Each course will be discussed with you, the parent/s, and designed according to your child’s needs. My field of expertise are the following: - Academic literacy (reading and writing) - Middle school preparation - High school preparation - Book studies and literature - IELTS - ESL All students are welcome! Your child will be supported on their learning journey while having fun along the way. It is well suited to students who are home-schooled and are looking for a full curriculum for language arts, struggling students who need auxiliary support with their literacy studies, and/or students who are preparing for exams. I hope to see you in class!
