Experiencia de clase

Join me for a hands-on photography course that will give your creativity a workout. We'll learn about abstract photography and about choosing subjects for our photographs. No previous experience is necessary!

Our class time will be spent learning about abstract photography by using photo examples, informational slides, and discussion about why certain pictures are considered to be abstract. We'll then discuss how to choose subjects and how to set up, compose, and shoot our images. After spending some time finding subjects and taking our shots, we'll discuss and practice using different editing techniques (e.g., filters, exposure, cropping, overlays, etc.) on our phones. I will use both my basic phone editing program and Snapseed, a free editing app.

I can't wait to see what you create!
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will learn how to choose interesting subjects for abstract photography. They will also learn about basic photo composition, lighting, and editing.

Hello! My name is Veronica Lorine, and I LOVE the arts! Before having a family of my own, I taught elementary music. After resigning, I volunteered my time teaching music at a local preschool. I also became more involved with crafting and photography. On occasion, I teach a music class at a local special needs academy. I also spend a LOT of time with photography.

I've expanded my portfolio and have been able to focus on more specialized photography. Macro, abstract, and night photography are my passions. I've received recognition for several of my photos, and I hope to continue doing so. I also have a "mystery macro" Facebook group that keeps my brain sharp.

If you'd like to see my current portfolio (which is constantly changing), visit my website at: https://vlorine.wixsite.com/vlorine

I also occasionally post images to my Instagram account (v.lorine.photography).

Besides the arts, I also enjoy traveling (far away from the SE Texas heat and humidity!), camping, hiking, and playing games with my family.

I believe in trying new things and experimenting with different ideas. I also believe that you should never compare yourself to anyone else. Be creative, be unique, be yourself, and HAVE FUN!

The only person you should try to be better than is who you were yesterday. – Unknown
