Class Experience
Students will be introduced to letter shapes, the sounds letters represent, and simple rhyming words. Through teacher-directed activities, your child will create a work of art with given letters and letter sounds. These classes are stand-alone courses, and your child will need no prior knowledge of previous classes. Not only do students learn letters and sounds, I also teach the Days of the Week and weather concepts.  At the beginning of class, approximately five minutes will be for introductions and warm-up activities that include songs, skywriting, and letter/sound reinforcement. 

I will be using Google Slides as a tool to introduce and reinforce concepts. Parents do not need to have a subscription, or password for Google Slides. 

About twenty minutes will be for applying letter knowledge and creating a work of art to reinforce the letters, sounds, and simple rhyming words that go along with the given letters. Wrap-up activities will take place at the end of the lesson. Below is a tentative list of the original animal characters we will be drawing per class, as the focus of the lessons. The animal characters may change based on the student's level of abilities.

My classes are fun and informal. I encourage students to be on "gallery view," when in the classroom. This allows students to converse with one another. I use puppets, songs, flashcards, and Google Slides to reinforce concepts.
