In this ongoing class, we will color different letters of the alphabet and learn their sounds and words beginning with these sounds. Each week, I will upload four different letter coloring pages for the student to choose from. The parent can print one or all; it will be the parent and student's choice. Parents can also choose which weeks the student will participate in. During our lesson, I will review the four letters with the students. I will also review the letter sounds and words beginning with these sounds. I will ask students to participate in class and name letters, sounds, and words throughout the class. This is a fun class that will introduce students to letters and sounds and provide the parents coloring pages and tips to practice these letters and sounds at home. Week 1: A-D Week 2: E-H Week 3: I-L Week 4: M-P Week 5: Q-T Week 6: U-Z

Hello! Welcome to Outschool! My name is Teacher Tonya. I hold a Bachelor's and Master's in Communicative Disorders and am passionate about early literacy skills. I have 19 years of experience in Speech-Language Pathology and have worked in a variety of settings. For the past 7 years, I have been homeschooling my children, and for the past 3 years, I have been teaching ESL online. I love to teach and I love making learning fun for my students! I try to incorporate hands-on learning as much as possible through a student-centered approach. I encourage literacy and language skills in a variety of ways, such as coloring, storytelling, and modeling. I have been married to my husband for 18 years.
