Students will improve on their identification of letter sounds and begin blending sounds to read and spell basic words.

I have extensive experience teaching phonics both in traditional classroom settings and online environments. As a literacy coach, I've supported fellow educators in mastering effective literacy instruction techniques. My expertise stems from a Master's degree in Reading Education from NCSU, where I also volunteered in the Reading Diagnostic Clinic. Additionally, I hold certification in Special Education and have successfully helped numerous struggling readers gain confidence and proficiency in their reading skills.

Detalles: There will be an initial assessment of student alphabet sound knowledge as well as pre-reading skills such as listening to a word and repeating the first sound. A shortened version of this assessment will periodically be repeated to ensure students are retaining newly learned skills.
