2-4 horas por semana. Each will there will be two assignments. The first is a list of 3-7 discussion questions. These are to be answered by the students in their own words based on their thoughts and opinions. The second assignment is a list of 3-5 homework projects. Students are to choose 1 each week that they find interesting. These could be short research papers (1 page), a short video to watch and review, or a project.Evaluación

Have you ever wondered where certain cooking techniques came from? Why are certain foods so popular in some places and not others? Everyone eats, but what they eat is a part of their history and culture. Come and join us as we walk through the history of food! This class will be taught through recorded lectures and may also include supplemental videos (Youtube), readings, worksheets, and activities (recipes, movies, dioramas, experiments, etc.). Please see the syllabus below for a layout of the lessons included in this course. This class is presented in an asynchronous format. If you are taking this class through the Class Subscriptions, there will be no communication between learner and myself. If you are taking this class through the Self-Paced format, you will have 1 year to complete the lessons. If you choose to submit homework or communicate (questions on the classroom page), I will respond within 24 hours (excluding Sundays).

Students will learn about various time periods and how history shaped our relationship to food.
Our goals for this class are to:
Write about what we learn.
Use primary sources and different types of media (such as film and art) to learn about historical events.
Learn about historical events through the context of geography and how it affected different events.
Use technology to research both past and current events and topics.
Understand differences between present and past perspectives, and apply it to present day issues

All lessons will be shared through Youtube, which is embedded into the Outschool classroom. Learners will not have to leave the classroom page to view them. Some optional homework assignments may include also watching Youtube videos, reading articles, or preparing food.
