Explore the enchanting world of Hogwarts as we read through exciting chapters, discover new characters, and uncover hidden secrets. With fun activities, creative projects, and lively discussions, you'll experience the magic of the story and become part of the adventure. Perfect for young wizards and witches eager to learn and imagine! We will have a fun weekly activity after each chapter discussion: -get sorted into your Hogwarts house by the sorting hat -create your wizard/witch name -concoct your own potions -quiz battles & more! Once learners have completed 9 classes, they will receive a certificate of completion showing that they read the entire Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone book. Woohoo! Book Synopsis: Harry Potter resides with Vernon and Petunia Dursley, his cruel uncle and aunt, and their mischievous son, Dudley. On Harry's eleventh birthday, a half-giant named Rubeus Hagrid reveals that Harry's parents, James and Lily Potter, were wizards when he brings him an entrance letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry Potter's road to reconciling with his past and facing his future begins with the captivating novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. House Cup Competition: Each week, learners will have optional assignments to complete before the next class. Points will be awarded to houses for completed tasks, and the house with the most points at the end of the term will win the House Cup!
