Topics will be presented in a kid-friendly way. The Fort Laramie chapter introduces the events of the fateful and cannibalistic Donner Party. Throughout the book the author refers to Native Americans, First Nations, and Indigenous Peoples as "Indians," as was the custom at the time. This will be explained as it is encountered in the book. Historical figures profiled in this book come from various cultural and faith backgrounds.
