This fun and upbeat history class meets weekly to discuss the book, "A Chicken Was There" by A. A. Davenport. Each chapter is a fun and lighthearted short story (3-5 pages) around a historical figure or event - told from the perspective of a chicken. In class, we'll use the book as a jumping-off point; to take a deeper dive into the history and biography of the events described. Learners will want to read the book and complete their worksheet prior to class time. Group class time will be interactive, with lots of time for learner input!
