Welcome to Career Guide in the Life Science. This is the class I wish I had in high school wondering what to major/minor in college. For those who enjoy Biology and chemistry….or maybe just biology or chemistry separately, there is a wide range of careers that pay very well. For myself, I wanted to know how the body works internally. Join us to find out where I ended up. Did I like it? Requirements for my career path? There are two classes each week. This is an ongoing class. We cover Life Science Careers such as medicine-doctors nursing, surgical team, clinical research, Pharmacy Benefit Manager, Physical Therapist, and more. Students learn educational requirements in high school, college, and certifications. We cover Job descriptions, lateral or vertical cross wherever they apply, salaries, and benefits. Lastly, you will meet several people in each field to discuss what they enjoy about the career, what they would change or improve, and recommendations for those who wish to follow.
