Tarea
1-2 horas por semana. Any writing or assignments not completed in class will be completed and submitted before the following class session.
Evaluación
Students will receive a participation scores for each class session. Students will receive a rubric score and feedback for their final writing project.

In this 3-week, twice a week class, students will learn and practice the stages of the writing process through lecture, guided discussion, and group and individual practice. This class will provide direct writing instruction in the stages of the writing process. As a class, students will work through each stage of the writing process in order to understand that writing is a recursive, iterative process that must be internalized as they practice effective writing practices. As part of this process, students will submit a piece of writing using a genre and topic of their choice that serves a specific purpose and addresses a particular audience.

                 Stage 6 - Editing - Quick introduction to Proofreading Marks
                 Stage 7 - Publishing - Final Writing submitted before next class
Week 3 - Lesson 1 - Working Through the Writing Process Independently - Pt. 1
                 Stage 1 - Choosing a Topic - RAFT
                 Stage 2 - Prewriting - Free-Writing, Looking, and Adding - Writing with a Rubric as a tool
Week 3 - Lesson 2 - Working Through the Writing Process Independently - Pt. 2
                 Stage 5 - Revision - Revising with a Rubric as a tool
                 Stage 6 - Editing - Editing with a Rubric as a tool
                 Stage 7 - Publishing - Final Writing submitted at the End of Class.

The Final Writing will be scored within 48 hours using the scoring Rubric and feedback.
