This private tutoring session will help your child to gain the skills and confidence needed to excel in phonics, reading, writing, grammar knowledge, sentence structure, and anything else that you would like for your child to learn.  This class is individualized. 
 So no matter where your child is currently at as a reader, I will work with you to find what areas need improvement.  Everyone learns at a different pace and a different style.  So I adapt all of my tutoring lessons to fit the needs of the individual.  We will be working on decoding and understanding sight words, fluency, and overall literacy skills.  Learners will be taught to identify the letter sounds/words/etc.  both visually and auditorily.  The skills acquired will help your child gain the skills needed to read and write fluently. Through a combination of reading/writing/and discussing, your child will be immersed into a world of reading and eventually the skills needed will be a routine.  I will be providing phonemic awareness activities, and sight word exercises.  Through repetition your child will be able to build confidence with reading and writing.   My teaching tools will include, but not limited to flash cards, white board, slide shows, and stories.  Once again, every child learns differently and at a different pace.  So together we will find what works best for your child. :-)
