Grado de EE. UU. Preschool - Kindergarten
START ANY WEEK!

This class is geared towards children between 4 and 6 who are about to start kindergarten OR are already in Kindergarten. Students who are three are more than welcome to join, but may need parental assistance. I do have a Preschool / Pre K Circle time class that is for students between 3 and 4 that meets 2 times a week and is only 20 minutes in length, as well as a Kindergarten/First Grade Circle Time Class that is for students 4-6 that is meets 5 times a week and is 25 minutes in length.

During this ongoing class, students will gather together to discuss the calendar, different math concepts, and their letters and letter sounds! This class will be teacher facilitated with lots of opportunity for engagement, interaction, and discussion between the students. Schedule will be similar to the following:

Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday / Thursday
-- Greeting/How are you? Students will say hello to the teacher and one another. Students will be asked an "ice-breaker" question where everyone gets a chance to share their answer.
-- Calendar and numeracy activities: students will discuss the days of the week and the months of the year and sing two different songs. Students will count the days on the calendar together. Students will work on different math concepts each week such as size, shapes, patterns, addition, subtraction, etc. Students will learn through different methods such as teacher direction, discussion, play, interactive slides, etc.
-- Letter and literacy activities: Students will learn the letter of the day that is related to the theme of the week. Students will practice the letter sound and pick out objects from a photo that start with the letter of the week. Then, the teacher will demonstrate how to write the letter and students can start on their worksheet (the sheets will be started in class but mostly completed outside of class time).
-- Goodbye/ See you next time!

Friday
Everyone’s favorite: Fun Friday .
Everyone will have a chance to do a Show and Share and engage with their peers. Students will ask questions and make comments about each others items. We will then do a special activity (usually a coloring sheet, dance, or game).

A little about me:
I have my certification in special needs education, my bachelor’s degree in elementary education, and my masters in early childhood development. I have over 7 years of teaching and specialize in early elementary (teaching students between 4 and 8 years old). Teaching is my absolute passion and I put my heart into everything I do.

Parents, please assist your child off camera when needed. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in class discussion and will be asked questions during class time. However, if a child is not comfortable sharing they will not be forced.

The worksheets for each week will be posted to the classroom tab by 8PM (MST) the Sunday prior to class. Here I will also let you know if you need anything specific for the Fun Friday activity.

Small Class sizes: I will not take more than 8 learners per class. Keeping class sizes small will allow your child to receive the individual attention they need. It will also allow them to form friendships and bond with their classmates.
