They will be asked recall and open-ended questions where they will have to apply what they learned to correctly answer the question. [2nd of four 9-week sessions]
This course takes a modified, thematic approach to 3rd Grade Science. It offers content that is typically taught during the second 9-weeks in a traditional 3rd grade science class. The students will be introduced to the physical science portion of the course. They will learn about the properties of matter and force. The following topics will be discussed:
- Electric interactions
- Static Electricity
- Forces & Interaction
- Balanced
- Unbalanced Forces
- Motion
- Magnetic Interactions
The students will learn more about the world around them. They will learn about force and motion. This section will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, and open-ended questions. Students will learn the basics of magnetism and electricity. This section will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, and open-ended questions. The students will learn about motion, motion theory and all interactions. The students will learn to critically think and develop possible solutions. This section will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, and open-ended questions. The students do not need to have any prior knowledge. The third 9-weeks course will pick up where this course leaves off.Metas de aprendizaje
