In this class, learners will focus on reading comprehension and phonics. This class will begin with a journal, during this time teacher will give feedback to students. The journals are considered a warm-up and a time for creative writing. Learners will also focus on sounding out words that they are not familiar. The teacher will help with sounding out and pronouncing words. No student will feel left behind, as the teacher will ensure that all participate and understand the class lesson. In each class, students will have a reading selection. The reading selection will go with the lesson of the week. 

This is an ongoing class; therefore, feel free to enroll and unenroll at any time. Students will receive printables as they enroll in the class. The printables are used to enforce the lesson and for reading material.

In this class, students can access several different interactive learning websites such as Lilio, Epic!, and NearPod. Your student will receive a password and username once they have registered for the class. Teachers will assign an assignment to your learner throughout the week on the website.
