Welcome to Jr. Historians Class- Part 1 Want to learn about our National Parks? How we became America? Ancient Egypt? This is the first half of a full-year curriculum for students in grades 2-4. Let's learn about history the fun way! Hands-on; Engaging Lessons that are unique to this class. CLASS STRUCTURE ➡ Learn Social Studies through a unique lens. This is not your typical Social Studies class! ➡ Lessons are direct instruction AND interactive ➡ Student input and interaction throughout the class time ➡ Games are used for review and to reinforce new information ➡ Practice and Assessments will be modified for each age/grade level TEACHER CREDENTIALS: 🎓 Certified teachers 🎓 Years of experience teaching students 🎓 B.S. or M.Ed in Elementary Education YSA TEACHERS: ⭐ are calming, but energetic and happy teacher. ⭐ are ready to help students reach their full potential. ⭐ bring with a wealth of knowledge and a passion for teaching children. ⭐ strive to foster confidence in each child that we work with. ⭐ want children to love learning and this means they must believe in themselves. ⭐ believe ALL children can learn. BS and M.Ed Elementary Education
26+ years of classroom experience
Kim has been teaching and inspiring elementary and middle school students for over 26 years in public, private, and online classrooms.
Ms. Kim loves to inspire students to find new passions, learn to love learning, and develop a passion for reading. Kim loves building relationships with her students and getting to know them.
When not teaching, you will find Kim spending time with her husband and two college-aged boys. She enjoys baking, reading, traveling, and spoiling her 2 class mascots- Maisie and Sophie, the family dogs! And of course, cheering on her Philadelphia sport teams!

TESOL certification
Dena has been teaching online for over ten years, impacting more than 10,000 students and counting. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Education and a TESOL certification.
Ms. Dena’s teaching style is upbeat, passionate, and fun! She believes every student should have the opportunity to learn at their own pace, making the experience both memorable and fun!
When not teaching, you will find Ms. Dena enjoying time with her family and friends. Some of her hobbies include competitive racket sports, working out, skiing, and traveling. She also helps those in need in her community by serving as a foster care mom to babies and puppies.
