With a focus on practical life skills, this class will help students make informed decisions about their money and take control of their financial future. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Class 1 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ What money is and how currency works A brief history of money How money works in the public sector vs. private sector Taxes Currency Exchange Rates Bankruptcy and how to avoid it Can money buy time, happiness, or love? ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Class 2 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ How to set up a bank account Differences between Savings and Current accounts How interest works Credit and debit cards Credit ratings and how it affects you for life How to save and why this is important The best way of using your money No required experience or knowledge is needed by the learners. Once a learner has been verified per OS policy, this is a camera optional class. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Concessions ▬▬▬▬▬▬ For parents/families who feel their child would benefit from this course, but their budget does not allow for it, I do offer a number of discounts for families of lower income. Dr Peter King (PhD) has been self employed for most of his adult life and has run his own successful Entertainment Agency whilst studying for his PhD. He has also managed a small charity and been Operations Manager of an Ed-Tech startup company.
