Tutoría individual de fluidez y comprensión lectora con los gatos: dos veces por semana

This ESL-friendly class offers a one-on-one reading help session for students who love cats and nature! Together, we will read original stories about Pumpkin and Marigold the Cats and sometimes Poochie the Pup shows up as well. These friends have many adventures and they discover interesting things about nature as they make new animal friends. 
We will first review important vocabulary words, checking for pronunciation and understanding. Then we will read a story together, getting vital reading practice and decoding difficult words. We will discuss the story as we go. With each story we finish, we will complete a story map to explore story elements such as characters, setting, summarization, themes, and main ideas. After each story, we will have a step-by-step drawing session where we will draw something from the story.

*Each week will follow the same format. Learners can pick from several Pumpkin and Marigold stories. As we finish each story, which will likely take more than one session, we will complete a story map and have a step-by-step drawing session.
