Reading Explorer is a six-level series that prepares learners for academic success with highly visual, motivating National Geographic content featuring real people, places, and stories.

The series is trusted by educators worldwide and aims to maximize students’ reading and critical thinking skills with its engaging, real-world approach to language learning, capturing their interest through captivating stories and practical applications.

Closely following the guidance in the Reading Explorer series, your child will receive personalized tutoring and private 25-minute lessons focused on enhancing their reading ability and critical thinking skills while addressing their individual needs.

I specialize in the following specific topics and themes:

1. Exploring Global Cultures: Understanding diverse traditions, lifestyles, and perspectives through real-world stories.

2. Environmental Awareness: Learning about ecosystems, conservation, and humanity’s role in protecting the planet.

3. Scientific Discoveries: Investigating breakthroughs in science and technology and their impact on society.

4. Historical Events and Figures: Discovering key moments and influential people that shaped our world.

Each class will continue from the page covered in the previous lesson, ensuring steady progress. As your child progresses, we will integrate targeted practice, emphasizing essential reading skills, academic vocabulary, and critical thinking, or focus on areas you wish to prioritize.

My teaching style is dynamic and inquiry-driven, using a student-centered method that combines highly visual National Geographic content, engaging videos, and interactive exercises to build reading proficiency and curiosity. 

Lessons include Reading Skill Sections for essential academic and critical thinking skills, Target Vocabulary Practice for useful words and phrases, and opportunities to apply language skills through real-world contexts.

This series, designed for learners seeking to improve their academic reading and critical thinking, is not for beginners. Lessons are designed for students aged 10-16. It is recommended that students have a Lexile score of around 700 (CEFR A2-B1) to fully benefit from the material.
