Tutoría de comprensión lectora y fluidez 1:1

In this reading course, I will work with your child to improve their reading skills. For this course, I will work along with you as the parent to help your child to become a better and more confident reader. We can use any book within your child's age level that you choose. Each class is 25 minutes long and focuses on encouraging your child to read more and read for comprehension. 

Prior to the start of our tutoring, I will work with you to form a lesson plan that suits your child's learning needs. Then, we will work each week on specific reading goals. 

Please note: If your child chooses a longer book such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, they will need at least 3 sessions to complete the book. We will read through some of it together in class to work on vocabulary and proficiency. They will read some for homework, and we will discuss it together in the next class. 

Sample Class schedule: 
Reading Week 1: We will make predictions. We will read chapter 1 together and discuss the characters as well as answer questions. Students will read the next few chapters for homework.
Reading Week 2: We will discuss the chapters that were read for homework. We will answer questions about those chapters. We will read the next chapter or two together in class practicing vocabulary words and fluency. Students will read the next few chapters for homework.
Reading Week 3: We will discuss the chapters that were read for homework. We will answer comprehension questions. We will finish the book together. The student will rate the book and tell what they liked and didn't like.
