This class will identify and address your learner’s specific handwriting needs (letter formation, sizing, spacing, line placement, etc.) to provide personalized handwriting tutoring and improve legibility using fun and engaging writing activities. Tutoring can be provided for uppercase and/or lowercase letters and will focus on print writing. Prior knowledge of the English alphabet is not required for this class.

During our first session, I will informally assess your learner’s handwriting needs while building rapport. The information from this first session will guide us through the remaining time in our first session and our future sessions as we work to improve the area(s) of writing that are most challenging for your learner. 

Handwriting instruction will be provided in a developmentally appropriate order according to the Handwriting Without Tears method, which I have been trained and certified to teach. Each week, after a brief motor warm up, we will incorporate multi-sensory strategies to work on your learner’s specific goals. I will provide unique and simple tricks along the way to adapt to your learner’s handwriting needs.
