Welcome to my engaging and personalized 1:1 reading, writing, and grammar class, designed to cater to your child’s unique learning needs. Each session begins with a check in to set the tone for a productive lesson. My comprehensive approach includes: *Phonics Focus: Strengthen foundational reading skills with targeted phonics exercises (for younger learners). *Reading Strategies: Develop effective reading strategies to enhance comprehension and retention. *Grammar Rules: Master essential grammar rules through clear explanations and practical examples. *Comprehension and Fluency: Improve comprehension and fluency with guided reading. *Practice Writing: Hone writing skills with guided practice and creative prompts. *Advanced Learning Prompts: Challenge advanced learners with thought-provoking prompts and activities. Hello and welcome to my classroom! My name is Mrs. Charlene D, and I am thrilled to embark on this learning journey with your child.
With over 15 years of experience as a historian and educator, I have had the pleasure of teaching a wide range of subjects and age groups, from history to English and everything in between. I am also certified in TEFL, and I truly enjoy working with ESL students from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of teaching, I am a proud mom of four, an enthusiastic gardener, and an avid traveler who loves exploring new places and adventures with my family.
