My name is Teacher Christa and I have been a teacher on Outschool for almost 4 years now.  I have taught various reading, math, and emotional regulation classes.  I also am a teacher in the public school system, with 23 years of teaching experience.  I currently teach 4th Grade, but have taught 2nd and 3rd Grade as well.  I have many years of experience working with children and adapting/accommodating to their specific needs.  I thrive on personal connectons and building deep relationships with all children, and believe this is key.

In this ongoing 1:1 individualized class, I will provide tutoring for reading, writing and/or math for K-5 students.  Your child will receive individualized attention based on their needs/goals and will be interacting with me through, games, slides and discussion.  I am excited to help your child become more confident in reading including phonics, sight words, fluency, and vocabulary.  In writing, I can help with grammar, sentences, paragraph structure, spelling, and research.  In Math, I am happy to help with all concepts including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, place value, money, time, etc.  I will then tailor the lessons to the individual needs and concerns of your child.  I am happy to reteach a lesson, do any test prep with your child, complete homework together, or simply just teach to reinforce where any specific help is needed.  Please let me know ahead of time what your child needs assistance with so I can be prepared with materials and a plan to help.
