Habilidades de conversación individualizadas para estudiantes con autismo, ansiedad y TDAH

This class will meet once per week for 30 minute 1-on-1 sessions for one month to learn about conversational skills. This course will teach children greetings, initiating/maintaining conversations, using a social filter in conversations, and more. Topics are individualized by the child's needs and will be discussed with the parent or guardian prior to the class beginning. Class time will include direct instruction of social skills. Extensive research on the effects of social skills training on children with these challenges shows that social skills instruction is effective in reducing a child's experience of school failure or rejection as well as the aggressiveness and isolation that often develop because of problems relating to others. Please note that this is a one-on-one class and is not therapy.
