Class Experience

Oh no!! Someone has stolen the WHOLE Thanksgiving feast from the Sanchez house! Mr. and Mrs. Sanchez are requesting the help of a great Math Detective to help find out if it was a guest, one of the chefs, or an intruder who took all of the food. They have been drawing up a list of the possible suspects for the crime, but they need our Math Detectives help to put a stop to all of the craziness!! In this super fun mystery, students will solve the clues and eliminate suspects on the suspect list...

Student will review and practice:
-Triple-digit addition with no regrouping
-Matching fractions to fraction models
-Triple-Digit subtraction with no regrouping
-Identify 2D shapes
-Place Value Models (Hundreds, Tens, Ones)
-Mental Math (Double-digit addition and subtraction)

Students will need:
-pencil and paper OR dry erase board and marker to work out problems

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
