In this one-time class, young learners will have fun while learning to draw various common Autumn seasonal objects, like pumpkins, leaves, and other Autumn-related drawings. Utilizing unique colours are encouraged! Step by step drawing instruction is provided by the teacher, as well as, songs. Learner to learner interaction is encouraged throughout the class with opportunities to share drawings and stories to help support emerging social skills. Young learners need no prior drawing or colouring experience to participate in this class but should be able to hold drawing utensils independently.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to use drawing utensils to make basic shapes and lines and create common objects using a variety of unique colours.

Supply List
Various drawing utensils (crayons, markers etc.), pencil, eraser and pieces of paper or draw/erase board with an eraser and coloured markers.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

As Child and Youth Counsellor with over 2 decades of experience working with young people, I am deeply committed to supporting children and youth's mental health, well-being, and life skill development.
My heart is full when I see young learners engage with topics related to social-emotional learning, executive functioning, and social-emotional learning skills. With my expertise in these areas, I use engaging, fun, and unique approaches to create a safe, nurturing learning environment that helps learners thrive.
As a practitioner and coach, I specialize in supporting children and youth with ADHD and executive functioning skill challenges, as well as social-emotional learning using neuro-affirming approaches. My personal experience with ADHD (myself, my children and others within my family) has fuelled my passion for advocacy and inclusivity for all abilities.
In my classes, I strive to create a high level of interaction, engagement, and lots of fun! Using songs, stories, videos, games, scenarios, discussion opportunities, and visual aids, I connect the concepts with your child's learning style, providing them with the best possible learning experience.
I have a 4-year Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Youth Care from Toronto Metropolitan University (formally Ryerson) and a 3-year Child and Youth Worker diploma from Humber College. I am a Social-Emotional Learning Coach, Executive Functioning and Parenting Coach, and have recently started an all ADHD focused practice with various supports- ADHDified. I am TESOL certified and provide support to reluctant, and dyslexic readers as a Reading Coach, using the Reading Simplified method, and most recently, I can now say I am a published author!
As a proud mom of three wonderful children and a dog mom to a rescue pup, I understand the joys and challenges of family life. With empathy and compassion, I look forward to working with your learner to support their growth and development.
