Come play and move with us while we have fun learning Spanish. Zumbini is an early childhood music and movement program developed by Zumba and BabyFirst. It promotes cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development through movement, vocal, rhythmic, and instrumental parts. Don't worry if you don't have special instruments; there are household substitutes that can serve the same purpose. Just like in my Spanish PreK Circle Time, we follow a class format and special anchor songs that establish rituals and help learners anticipate the routine. 1. Dance 2. Welcome song 3. Sit and Sing with fine motor skills and rhythm 4. Dance 5. Sit, sing and improvise 6. Instrument play with the instrument of the week (drum, bells, scarves, egg, or sticks) 7. Free dance 8. Calming song 9. Goodbye Allow plenty of room for your children to move and dance, as active participation is essential to success. Younger siblings (under 3) are welcome to join the student with caregiver guidance (off camera). Zumbini was designed to be a fun multi-age activity that appeals to ages 0-5! We will rotate the 20 songs of each book every 8-12 weeks. Summer class - "Kalino Finds the Music" Week 1, June 6: Begin the fun! Week 2, June 20: Transportation Week 3, June 27: Emotions Week 4, July 11: Family Week 5, July 18: Colors Week 6, July 25: Food Week 7, August 1: Animals Fall 2023 - "No Way, Jose!" All instructions, conversations, and discussions will be conducted in Spanish. Most live songs (sung without music) are sung in Spanish, with a few bilingual. Some pre-recorded songs that we dance to are in English.
