Please note that we will use scarves at every class, so this can be a scarf, blanket, bandana, hand towel, dishcloth, t-shirt, pillowcase, etc. We will play one of four structured instruments (drums, egg shakers, rhythm sticks, or wrist bells) in addition to free instrument play at each class, so families will receive a message prior to class with details regarding which items to gather from their home for that day. All instruments can (and are encouraged to be!) replaced with household objects. Examples include mixing bowls as drums, containers filled with rice as egg shakers, capped markers as rhythm sticks, measuring spoons as bells, etc. Ideas for each instrument will be provided.

Parent or caregiver is required to be adjacent to the child during this activity. While Zumbini is not a fitness program, it does involve quite a bit of movement. You may want to dress your child in comfortable clothing. Please have a large enough space available for your child to dance around and that it is clear of any potential hazards that someone may bump into, etc. It is important to note that we will stand to dance and sit on the floor to sing during our Zumbini classes, so it is suggested to utilize a space such as the living room rather than be seated at the kitchen table, etc.  Please be sure to review your "instruments" for each class to be sure they are safe for your child's use.
