Students will accomplish a 55 minute workout. Instructor will offer guided/cued dance steps for a complete cardio workout. After 16 classes, the student can be credited with 0.5 credits for PE.
I have been attending and participating in Zumba group fitness for 3 years. I have been licensed yo lead classes for 6 months. In addition to teaching online, I also lead in-person classes locally.
* Water * Clothing and shoes appropriate for exercise * towel or rag
* Ensure that the student is physically able to participate, a doctor's clearance for aerobic activity is recommended. * Students will need a dance space at their log-in location, recommend a 5ft x 5ft empty space on a flat surfaced floor. * The camera placement should be sufficient enough to allow for the instructor to be able see the full body on camera. * Athletic clothing is not required as long as the attire allows for free range of movement. * Shoes should be appropriate for exercise. * Students should have water or other hydration nearby for sipping between songs. It’s important to stay hydrated during aerobic exercise. * Potential negative effects include muscle strains/sprains, soreness, falling due to unsure footing. Proper stretching before class lessens potential for injury.
