Zoology Camp - Animal Kingdom Fun

This is a 6-week camp, where students will learn all about the Animal Kingdom. The students will create an interactive notebook that they will be able to show their work and be able to keep as well.  All students will be able to ask questions, make comments and share experiences during class.

I teach lectures, activities, and discovery learning. Student will meet with me through Zoom twice a week and will then complete activities for more opportunities for to learn the material.  Interactive notebooks will be in class and outside of class activities.  There will be two presentations that will be a fun way for each student to put their own ideas down on paper and in activities to share with the class.  

Class One - Amphibians
Class Two - Fish and Fish Adaptations (Activity)
Class Three - Reptiles
Class Four - Birds and Bird Migration (We will tract a migratory bird migration in North and South America)
Class Five - Mammals and Hibernation
Class Six - First Projects due
Class Seven - Worms (Activity)
Class Eight - Mollusks and Sponges
Class Nine - Insects - Arthropods (Ant or Bee Lapbook Activity)
Class Ten - More Insects 
Class Eleven - Symbiotic Relationships and Animal Senses
Class Twelve - Second Projects due

I am a certified teacher with over Twenty years experience. I have taught English, Science and Math in public and private schools.  I have endorsements in English, Science and Math. I believe all students can learn given the right motivation and encouragement. I love teaching and have found that Outschool allows me to continue my teaching career from home.
